Delicious slow-cooked pork carnitas, perfect to come home to!

Ingredients

Serves 8

1.5kg-2kg pork shoulder 1 chicken stock cube 250ml/1 cup water 2 oranges 1 onion 2tbsp minced garlic 2tbsp oregano 2 bay leaves 1tbsp cumin Salt and pepper (to taste)

Directions

Step 1 Place the pork shoulder in the crockpot/slow-cooker. Then make a chicken broth by mixing the stock cubes into the water, pouring into the crockpot.

Step 2 Peel the oranges and quarter an onion, placing them in the crockpot. Then add the minced/crushed garlic (you can add more than listed if you want). Finally add the bay leaves, and shake over oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper to your taste.

Step 3 Cook for around 10 hours on a low heat. Then shred the pork and broil it for a few minutes in order to get the crispy look.
